There’s something so peaceful about summer evenings at Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve, especially when you’re documenting a season as meaningful as this one. Noelle and Michael’s maternity session felt soft, joyful, and full of quiet anticipation for the little life they’re about to welcome.

There’s nothing quite like a perfect day at the beach, especially when you’re surrounded by the joy and love of a wonderful family. This recent shoot with the M family at Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve was exactly that—sunny skies, warm smiles, and the sound of waves gently rolling in.

Sometimes during family sessions, kids don’t always want to sit and look at the camera. Let’s be real, what 2 or 3 year old will listen when you want them to do that?

I just couldn’t wait to shoot this photog friends adorable family. We had an amazing day and we shared this area with about 5 other sessions that day!

If you’ve never thought about doing a mommy and me session, I hope this session makes you want to! It was this little ones first birthday as well, so we had a bit of celebrating to do.
